1/2 öre, Avesta, Karl XI, 1662
Between the years 1661 and 1664, King Karl XI had 1/2 öre copper coins struck in Avesta. The copper coins in higher denominations all have crossed arrows indicating that the coins were struck in Avesta, and those from the years 1661-1665 also have Avesta's master mintmaster Isak Kock's master mintmark, a shield with an arrow. On 1/2 öre copper coins and 1/6 öre silver coins in copper, which were the lowest denominations struck in copper, however, there is nothing to show that the coins were minted in Avesta.
