The East India Company
For parts of the 18th century, a single company had exclusive rights to all Swedish trade in Asia: the Swedish East India Company. The display case contains a share certificate from the company (3). The owners made huge profits and two of the directors benefited in particular: founder Niclas Sahlgren (1) and Claes Grill (2).
