1/4 skilling, Avesta, Gustav IV Adolf, 1808

The 1/4 skilling denomination was minted between the years 1802 and 1833. First they were minted in Avesta 1802-1830, then in Stockholm in 1832 and 1833. When the skilling banco coinage was introduced in 1835, the denominations 1 skilling and 1/6 skilling remained, but now together with the new denominations 2/3 skilling and 1/3 skilling.
