1/2 riksdaler, Stockholm, Kristina, 1641
This ½ riksdaler from 1641 shows Kristina 14 years old. Sweden is ruled by a regency government in anticipation of her coming of age at 18.
The inscription with Kristina’s title reads:
”Kristina, by the grace of God, Queen and Hereditary Princess of the Swedes, the Goths and the Wend”.
In Latin, it says:
“CHRISTINA, D(EI) G(RATIA) SVE(CORUM), GO(THORUM) WA(NDALORUMMQUE) DE(SIGNATA) RE(GINA) ET PR(INCIPISSA) HE(REDITARIA)”.
