2 öre, Stockholm, Oscar II, 1875
The 2-öre coins were struck in bronze from 1874 until 1971, except for 12 years during the First and Second World Wars. Then the 5, 2 and 1 öre coins were struck in the cheaper metal iron to save on the more expensive metal copper. The bronze coins consisted mainly of copper mixed with a little tin and zinc.
