10 kronor, Norrbottens Enskilda Bank, 1893

Norrbottens Enskilda Bank was Sweden’s last bank to issue banknotes. It opened in 1893 and was based in Luleå. The three denominations depict the Roman god Mercury, a searching woman, a woman with Cupid and a locomotive.

These banknotes were printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co in London. The bank stopped issuing banknotes in 1903.
