4 öre silvermynt, Stockholm, Adolf Fredrik, 1771
In 1770, three new denominations began to be struck: 4 öre silver coins (1/24 riksdaler), 8 öre (1/12 riksdaler) and 16 öre (1/6 riksdaler). All of them were included in the riksdaler bill, which counted 96 öre to 1 riksdaler.
All öre coins have the same appearance. The King's crowned name cipher, ‘A F’, and motto on the obverse (front) and on the reverse Sweden's small coat of arms, denomination, year of minting and mintmaster's mark ‘AL’ for Albrekt Lindberg.
