1 daler silvermynt, Stockholm, Adolf Fredrik, 1770
On the obverse (front) of the coin we can read king Adolf Fredrik's title written in Latin: ""D(EI) G(RATIA REX SVECIA"" which means ""by the grace of God, King of Sweden"". On the reverse of the coin we find Adolf Fredrik's motto, also written in Latin: ""SALUS PUBLICA SALUS MEA"", which means ""The welfare of the state (is) my welfare"". Adolf Fredrik was the last king to write his motto in Latin, all kings after him have written their mottoes in Swedish.
