100 daler kopparmynt, Stockholms banco, 1663

This is an assignation note, or cheque, issued by someone named Sigred, on 1 July 1663. Assignation notes often served as banknote substitutes and were used as banknotes even though they were not intended for this purpose. This is because the issue of banknotes was limited, while there was a great need for means of payment.
