1 dukat, Stockholm, Karl XV, 1868

In 1868, the last ducat was minted in Sweden. The minting of 1 ducat coins had been going on since 1654, but ducat minting in higher ducat denominations was older. As early as 1606, king Karl IX had 6 ducat coins struck, followed by ducat coinage in denominations up to 12 ducat. The lowest denomination in the ducat coinage was ¼ ducat and it was minted between 1692 and 1755. When the Swedish krona was introduced in 1873, the ducats ceased to be valid.
