3 daler silvermynt, Avesta, Karl XI, 1674
All plate coins produced in 1674 have either a centre stamp depicting a star between two lilies – indicating that the copper comes from the Garpenberg copper mine in Dalarna – or three stars in a row, indicating that the copper comes mostly from the Falu copper mine in Dalarna.
This plate coin has three stars in the centre stamp and is therefore mainly made of copper from the Falu copper mine. The odd denominations of 3 and 5 daler silvermynt were only produced during the reign of Karl XI.
