1/2 daler silvermynt, Avesta, Karl XII, 1715

This piece of plate money was made in Avesta in 1715 and has four round corner stamps and a square centre stamp. The square centre stamp tells us that the plate money was made according to the 1715 coinage regulations. These plates weighed less than those that had been produced earlier, after the Coinage Act of 1709.
