2 öre, Kalmar, Gustav II Adolf, 1624
Gustav II Adolf had öre coins struck in Kalmar between 1623 and 1627. 2-öre coins 1623-1625 and 1-öre coins 1623-1627. The two-öre coins are very similar to those struck by his father and predecessor, King Karl IX, in Stockholm 1605-1611.
On the obverse (front) is the Vasa shield surrounded by the year of minting and on the reverse (back) the small coat of arms surrounded by the denomination 2 ÖR. Gustav II Adolf's öre coinage in Kalmar was the last coinage in the city.
