2 öre, Stockholm, Gustaf V, 1942

During the reign of King Gustav V (1907-1950), coins of the 2 öre denomination were issued either in iron or, as in the case of this coin, in bronze. The bronze coin is about half a gram heavier than the iron version. In terms of design, however, the coins are identical. The King's monogram and motto adorn one side. The other side shows the value of the coin, 2 öre above three kronor. At the bottom is the mark of the workshop where the coin was minted in Stockholm.
