Money after money

Money has taken many different forms over the millennia: shells, stones, coins and banknotes.

Almost all money today is digital, created by private banks every time someone takes out a loan. But this money has no underlying value.

Museums preserve the tales of things that no longer exist. Perhaps coins and banknotes were just a parenthesis in our economic history.
